BRAINSPOTTING
“Where you look affects how you feel”
Digging deep.
Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy that channels the body’s natural ability to heal. Derived from EMDR, brainspotting utilizes eye movement to locate and process trauma stored in the brain. Locating ‘spots’ in a person’s visual field to help them process trauma, difficult emotions, and unwanted behaviors or patterns. It accesses trauma trapped in the subcortical brain, the area of the brain responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning.
Do I have to have “capital T” trauma to benefit from BSP?
No! Brainspotting is used to treat a variety of unwanted emotions, behaviors and communication patterns.
